Ridgway Area Trails: Put your Shovel where your mouth is!

RAT/COPMOBA and BLM will host a 3-day trail construction effort on July 26 - 28. Crews will build new trail on BLM land about 1.5 miles northeast of Ridgway. Crews will work 1:00pm to 7:00pm Friday, and 9:00am to 5:00pm both Saturday and Sunday.

Friday: Work 1pm to 7pm then 7:30 then join us for Colorado Boy Pizza in Hartwell Park
Saturday work 9am to 5pm then burgers and beer afterwards.
Sunday work 9am to 5pm - Lunch will be provided.

We will definitely need 2 - 5 very experienced crew leaders each day. Crew leaders must meet with BLM personnel on July 25 at a time to be determined by BLM for orientation. Anyone who’d like to lead a crew should contact Rod Fitzhugh a fitzearl@me.com.

Ridgway State Park has great camping facilities with showers, etc... within a couple miles of the worksite. COPMOBA/RAT will provide dinner with beer and soft drinks for all volunteers on Friday and Saturday evenings, plus lunch on Sunday. Volunteers should bring plenty of water, small back pack, sun screen, Quick read more or view full article sturdy boots and gloves, sun screen, lunches Friday and Saturday, and any specialty food items such as vegetarian, gluten free and the like. This event will officially kick-off construction on the brand new Ridgway Area Trail system. Please join us.

In order to organize crew leaders and order food we need an estimate as to the number of volunteers we’ll have on hand.
